Me, Myself and I...

What is the one thing in this world that you truly have control of?

Is it your destiny?

Is it your path, your way?

OR

Is it simply yourself?

2 CORINTHIANS 13:5 (Amplified Bible) says;

Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?

The bible talks a lot about this topic, about false prophets, counterfeit believers, false teaching and simple deception as a way to cheat you of your prize.

What is the prize of the true believer of Jesus Christ?

Is it the promise of heaven?

Is it a good life?

Is it satisfaction that your works met your beliefs?

OR

Is it simply, the true ability to love beyond the worldly trappings of the word love?

Consider 2 PETER 1:3-11 (New King James Version)

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Notice that this text assumes we have faith as the base of what we are to build upon. Giving all diligence add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

With the end result being love is this not the path of the true believer in Jesus Christ?

Should we forget man made concepts that threaten only to control through fear?

Should we abandon them for the path of true love demonstrated by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, when He gave His life for ours at the cross?

Martin Luther King Jr. said;

I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live.

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

College Scholarships Search Engine...

Hey folks I get several requests per week that usually are just designed to direct traffic from my end of the internet to another vector. Most of those requests are not worth even looking at but I do anyway. I got an email from Suzane Smith asking if I would post this address for her. I said yes but let me check it out first which I did. Man, it is one awesome resource for University students if you need scholarship resources.

Education is good it is the difference between entry level positions forever and the dream job of doing what you were designed to do. If you are looking for scholarship resources this site is a mother lode of scholarship search engines. Although it is mostly for the US the difference in population alone makes sense.

My Testimony...

I have always been an entrepreneurial spirit with a positive mental attitude towards the projects I have done in my life. In my youth I teamed up with a Christian fellow to make a board game. I used to tease my friend about his faith daily and I used to get his goat on a regular basis. When we ran out of money and were left holding a useless proto-type. I knew we had failed miserably.

All we had left for food was a box of macaroni and cheese (Kraft Dinner) I said to my Christian friend almost as a joke that I would pray for bread and milk, even God must know you need bread and milk for Macaroni and cheese. We walked a bit and there on the ground was a bag with bread and milk in it. The milk was still cold. You should have seen the look on his face like wow you can do that! I thought someone just left it for a moment so we waited for them too come back. We waited for about 30 minutes. Nobody showed up, so away we went and enjoyed that Kraft Dinner with our new found bag of bread and milk.

At first I said coincidence but knew in my heart I had witnessed an answered prayer. Although I never accepted Christ that day I did shortly afterward. One of my brothers had accepted Christ and after him explaining how Christ came to be the redemption of sinners everywhere I decided to make Jesus my Lord and Saviour through repenting from this world and entering into His grace. After spending thirteen years in the desert of my mind trying to figure out what it meant to be a follower of Christ. Some of my colleagues who were Christian, invited me to a Promise Keepers meeting in the Edmonton. As I walked through the Colosseum and looking at all the vendors selling Christian merchandise I thought all they want is my money. I heard a voice loud and clear say "You can spend your money on much worse things than this".

As I looked around there was nobody beside me my buddies were off buying hot dogs and I was alone. Then I thought great now I'm talking to myself. Later that year I sold my business and moved back to Winnipeg and bought myself a beautiful black leather bound bible. I was reading my new bible at 2 Peter 1:5-7 that said add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love.

I remembered in my youth an aunt that we would visit each summer in the country that was a devout believer of Jesus Christ. She would visit us in the winter and we would go there in the summer. One time when she was at our house she would retire to her room early each evening. Being curious I wanted to see what she was doing her room door was open and I peeked in and asked "What are you doing?". She was reading her bible and replied "I am meditating on the word". I asked "what word is that" and she showed me her bible and said "the word of God". The bible was huge it was bound in black leather and looked like something I wanted, but I did not know how to meditate.

When we visited her in the summer I cut her wood and carried water and did any chores that required muscle. She had what I thought were scrolls on the table that we as children used to fight over reading at meal times. I looked for this product everywhere but could not find it. So with this new scripture and my thought about the scrolls my entrepreneurial spirit thought hey you can make this product. Only one problem I am not a theologian and didn't one have to go to school for many years to understand God.

So I prayed and said God if you want me to do this I will but you must provide everything I need to make it so. No sooner did I say amen my wife walked back into the apartment after taking out the garbage and said "Bruce there is a big box by the refuse bin with all types of bibles and books about God". I went and looked and there was concordances and bibles and reference material and text books. Books about Latin, Greek and Hebrew. It looked like what a theological student would need in university.

So I invented the product called it Holy Scrolls, transliterated the words in Hebrew, Greek, Latin and English and I am not a theologian either. I will release it when I reach the final step of Love. That was nine years ago, I am still working on perseverance. This is my testimony of coming to be a believer in Jesus Christ.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

The Industry of Worship...

I came across this video today while searching for answers to my questions I am asking all believers everywhere;

Do you believe that God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to start a new religion called Christianity?

And if yes. Where is the text in the bible that supports the popular Christian belief that God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to start a new religion called Christianity?

It's a short video by author Brian McLaren that discusses art, propaganda, and the worship industry.

"Bad Christian" Project...

Calling all God's people everywhere...

Started working in the studio today on my "Bad Christian" project and will be on that topic for the next several months. I'll be releasing certain parts here available for download in MP3 for the songs and will be using Youtube for some of the video. With a full production release slated for some time in the new year. If you or anyone you know would like to become part of this project here is a brief description of what I need to make it a screaming success.

The project is a fairly large effort that will need the cooperation and unity of many Christian folk right across the world. The whole idea stems from the fact that Christianity is divided by denominational divergence and that we as believers in Christ can work together to make a difference in our belief. And further the great commission to make disciples of all the world. Starting here in North America and moving as far as God will allow the project to reach. That we can break down the barriers of denomination by participating in a project that makes a bee-line to the message of Jesus Christ.

The project itself is a grassroots movement that can help raise awareness to the fact that Christianity in the beginning was a persecuted belief. And that persecution of that belief still happens in many parts of the world Today. Maybe it happens right in your own church or neighborhood. The project will focus on how denominational divergence started and how we as grassroots believers in Jesus Christ can stop the spread of sectarianism in Christianity and get back to the basics of why Jesus came and offered salvation to a dying world.

The scenario will work like this... I will be needing groups of believers who would be willing to go to church on a certain Sunday wearing a t-shirt that says Jesus was not a whatever the denomination on the front of the shirt. And film the outcome in DV format and send the tape to me for inclusion in the film.

Also filming people going into worship services at churches of many different denominations that would be willing to be interviewed on their thoughts about;

1. Do you think that God sent Jesus Christ to the earth to set-up a new religion called Christianity? If yes... Where in scripture would you find that Jesus was to start a new religion called Christianity?

2. What denomination did Jesus and the Apostles belong too?

3. Will Jesus find faith on the earth when He comes on the great and final day?

Also I would like to receive any footage from anywhere that shows believers being persecuted for their belief in Jesus Christ. This footage could include folks who have been excommunicated for any type of reason from any denomination.

People needed;

- Prayer Warriors to pray continually for the project from start to finish.

- Amateur/Professional Film Makers - Who have DV style camera's right across the world who would be willing to shoot footage in their cities and send it in to me for consideration in the film.

- People that can help with production, graphics, website, computer animations, posters and as general lobbyists to gain support from the Christian community in their geographical locations.

- Film industry people who would give their talents to help make the film look professional and help with distribution.

- Musicians/Song Writers/Artists that would be willing to contribute their talent through song, poetry, prose, painting and any and all artforms that excite the senses.

- Donations of money, time, talent for every aspect of this creation.

Folks I am just a small believer with a big dream that is based in scripture. If God is for us, who can be against us? And that despite the huge problems that the current 38,000 Christian denominations have caused. We as believers despite our denominational differences can one day walk into any Christian church that professes Jesus Christ as Lord and be accepted. Just as Jesus accepts us into his body and that we can be one just as the Father and Son are one. Is this not the prayer that Jesus prayed for all believers?

JOHN 17: 20-26

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Divorce & Denominational Divergence...

What does divorce and denominational divergence have in common?

Divorce is considered sin unless there is infidelity involved according to Matthew 19. But then forgiveness can be a solution to infidelity if you have it in you to forgive the transgression. Denominational divergence is sin and like any sin except for the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit can be forgiven. However in order for forgiveness to take place one must first repent from the sin in order for forgiveness to work its perfect work..

Lets define these words as defined on Dictionary.com;

di-vorce [di-vawrs, -vohrs] noun, verb -vorced, -vorc⋅ing.

–noun
1. a judicial declaration dissolving a marriage in whole or in part, esp. one that releases the husband and wife from all matrimonial obligations. Compare judicial separation.
2. any formal separation of husband and wife according to established custom.

–verb (used with object)
4. to separate by divorce: The judge divorced the couple.
5. to break the marriage contract between oneself and (one's spouse) by divorce: She divorced her husband.

2. (in physics, meteorology, etc.) the total amount of flux escaping an infinitesimal volume at a point in a vector field, as the net flow of air from a given region.

The Divisiveness of Denominational Divergence...

I was talking with one of my good friends the other evening about my stance on "denominational divergence" he said;"You are being divisive and that's wrong " I said "the problem started long before you or I were ever born, nor am I the first one to point this out" How many people have said this same message and still the problem persists. Even the so called father of the Lutherans who could be credited with breaking away from the strangle hold of the Roman Catholics said;

“I ask that men make no reference to my name, and call themselves not Lutherans, but Christians. What is Luther? My doctrine, I am sure, is not mine, nor have I been crucified for any one. St. Paul, in 1 Cor. 3, would not allow
Christians to call themselves Pauline or Petrine, but Christian. How then should I, poor, foul carcass that I am, come to have men give to the children of Christ a name derived from my worthless name? No, no, my dear friends; let us abolish all party names, and call ourselves Christians after Him Whose doctrine we have.” – Hugh Thomason Kerr, A Compend of Luther’s Theology (Philadelphia: The Westminster Press, 1943, p. 135)

So lets examine the absolute incredible message of the gospel under the unreliable system of denominational divergence. Is it not an incredible fact that it has survived until now? Men today can accept Christ and live as the first Christians did if only we could recognize the terrible sin and error of denominational divergence.

So what must be done is not an easy task but it is necessary. The complete destruction of the denominational system as we know it. We must represent God through love not money the current system is about money and always was.

Can you operate through love instead of money?

Is the church building more important than your soul?

If you tithe can you not find another worthy cause like homelessness to give your tithe?

Here is a good cause to give your money Melissa spinal cord injury...

Repent before its to late because Jesus explicitly warns in the text that Many are called but few are chosen and I would not want to see anyone who calls themselves Christian to hear;

"Depart from me for I never knew you"

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,

Submission & Subversion...

If we submit to the authority of God through the perfect revelation of Jesus Christ. We then must realize that in so doing we are subverting the authority and dominion in our lives of the earthly realm and powers that claim that same dominion and authority in our lives.

Some would argue that just Christ without accountability from their leadership is the the wrong path. Those that say that will make feeble efforts misquoting scripture in an attempt to control you by your submission to their authority. Which is given them through the process of denominational theocracy. Not from God! Do you submit to man-made religion or Christ?

If we as Followers of Christ are to be subversive then we will naturally be a thorn in the side of the religious establishment. Just as Jesus was a thorn in His time so must we be in our time. Religion does nothing but breed apostasy by getting you to fall inline with a narrow minded view on God. And when you realize that there is a double standard when being judged by your so-called brothers and sisters you become an apostate. Or perhaps you become and atheist following a different rhetoric and marching to a different drummer.

Judging God based on the actions of others is anthropomorphic and attempts to bring God down to the finite level of the human being. Instead realize that God is above our highest thoughts and not subject to our finite thinking. Do you serve God or does He serve you. Do you believe in God and His son Jesus Christ? Would you die for that belief?

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Divide & Conquer...

Have you seen the internet movie Zietgeist?

It asks a question that ties the Christian religion to terrorist acts all for the control of money by asking; What does Christianity, 911 and The Federal Reserve all have in common?

First let me say that there is much truth that Christianity was taken over by the Romans and that they the Romans did add paganism into the Christian belief. However something that must be considered about folks who say they believe in Jesus Christ is;

Where in the bible does it say that Jesus Christ came to start a new religion called Christianity?

Where does the bible mention that you must belong to a church or a denomination?

As long as the religious status quo continues, there will be people questioning the Christian religion because it doesn't live up to its precepts. Why? Because the Christian religion itself is a farce. Only through Jesus Christ is God revealed as love and only through Jesus Christ are we brought into relation with the true God of our creation. Christ not religion!

Christianity went from a persecuted belief to a persecuting religion under control of the Romans. And all branches of Christianity (denominations) participate in the persecution of Gods people who are everyone. Believe it or not God loves everyone and wishes that all of mankind would come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. But not a denominational Jesus for there is no support for that from God's word the "Holy Bible".

Christianity as a belief not an organized religion must move away from "Denominational Divergence" and show love. I challenge churches and church folks to give up there tax status and start loving the way Jesus told us too.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:12

For the Googling Mind...

Google and the internet has changed many things in this information age and allows for us to find others out there saying, believing and exhorting similar things. Not to mention you can find out something about just about anything by "Googling" it.

For instance I found this fellow Mark A Copeland saying something similar about my stance against "Denominational Divergence".

Below is his well thought out point by point presentation/sermon about denominational divergence and why it is wrong;

Why Is Denominationalism Wrong?

INTRODUCTION

1. While many people are attracted to the good news of the grace of God
offered through His Son Jesus Christ, certain questions often linger
in their minds...
a. Why are there so many different denominations?
b. Can't the followers of Jesus Christ learn to get along?
c. What can be done about the religious division that exists today?
d. Is it possible for me to be simply a Christian, following Jesus
without being a member of any denomination?

2. In reply to these questions, some make an effort to discount the
significance of religious division, suggesting...
a. That the differences are not all that great
b. Or that religious division is good, for it enables people to find
a church that suits them personally
-- But there are several reasons why I believe these answers are
wrong and do a disservice to the cause of Christ

3. In this series of lessons, I have several objectives in mind...
a. To explain why denominationalism is wrong
b. To illustrate how one can simply be a Christian, serving Jesus
without being a member of any denomination
c. To suggest how followers of Christ might be able "to maintain the
unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" - cf. Ep 4:3

4. In this lesson, I wish to explain...
a. Why denominationalism is wrong
b. Why anyone who truly follows Christ will do all they can to avoid
participating in it

[First, perhaps a definition of terms is in order...]

I. DEFINING "DENOMINATION" AND "DENOMINATIONALISM"

A. WHAT IS A "DENOMINATION"?
1. According to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English
Language:

"A large group of religious congregations united under a
common faith and name and organized under a single
administrative and legal hierarchy."

2. From Webster's:

"A religious organization uniting in a single legal and
administrative body a number of local congregations."

3. In simple laymen terms, a denomination is a group of
congregations that are joined together under some governing
body...
a. The number of congregations can be as few as two or more
b. But by their tie to a governing body above the local
congregation, by definition they are "denominated" from all
congregations that do not submit to the same authority
4. Some examples:
a. The Roman Catholic Church is a denomination made up of
those churches that submit to the pope in Rome
b. The Eastern Orthodox Church is a denomination made up of
those churches that submit to the patriarch of
Constantinople
c. The Anglican Church of England is a denomination made up of
those churches that submit to the archbishop of Cantebury
d. The Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) is made up of those
churches that submit to the synod in Missouri
e. The International Church of Christ is made up of those
churches that submit to the Boston Church of Christ
-- These are just a few of the thousands of different
denominations that now exist!

B. WHAT IS "DENOMINATIONALISM"?
1. According to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English
Language, it is:
a. "The tendency to separate into religious denominations"
b. "Advocacy of separation into religious denominations"
c. "Strict adherence to a denomination; sectarianism"
2. Again, Webster's dictionary defines it as:
a. "Devotion to denominational principles or interests"
b. "Narrow emphasizing of denominational differences:
SECTARIANISM"

3. For the purpose in this series, I will be applying the term to
any approval of the denominational division which exists today

a. I concede that many people in denominations today are not
all that devoted to their denominational principles or
interests
b. But by membership in a denomination they are by implication
advocating separation into religious denominations

[But is denominationalism really all that bad? Am I suggesting that
one cannot serve Christ faithfully while participating in religious
division? The answer to both questions is "Yes!"

To understand the reason for saying this, let's examine...]

II. WHY DENOMINATIONALISM IS WRONG

A. FIRST, DENOMINATIONALISM IS UN-SCRIPTURAL...
1. That is, it is without Scriptural support
a. There is no basis in the Bible for local churches being
divided up into various denominational bodies
b. There is no denomination that can go to the Bible and say,
"See that passage? There is our church (denomination)!"
2. In the New Testament...
a. Local congregations were independent, self-governing
b. Church organization was limited to within the local
congregation, with elders (also known as pastors, bishops,
overseers, presbyters) appointed to oversee only the
congregation of which they were members - cf. Ac 20:17,28;
1Pe 5:1-2

3. The only authority above the local church in the New Testament
was Christ and His apostles...
a. Once the church began, apostles were not replaced after
they died
b. But through the Word of God, the authority of Christ and
His apostles continues
4. Individuals, synods, conferences, etc., that presume to usurp
authority over local congregations today do so without
Scriptural authority

B. SECOND, DENOMINATIONALISM IS ANTI-SCRIPTURAL...
1. I.e., not only is it without scriptural support, it is
contrary to what the Bible teaches
2. It is contrary to the prayer of Jesus for unity among His
believers - Jn 17:20-23
3. It is condemned by Paul in his epistle to the church at
Corinth
a. There are to be no divisions among believers - 1Co 1:10-13
b. Sectarianism is a sign of carnality - 1Co 3:3-4
4. It opposes the efforts of Christ on the cross! - Ep 2:14-16
a. Jesus died to break down the wall of division
b. Jesus died to reconcile man to God in ONE body
-- Just as sinning works against the efforts of Christ on the
cross (for He also died to put away sin), so it is with
denominational division!

C. THIRD, DENOMINATIONALISM IS HARMFUL TO THE CAUSE OF CHRIST...
1. Jesus knew that unity among His disciples would be "the final
apologetic"
a. Cf. "that the world may believe" - Jn 17:21
b. In view of Jesus' words, we should not be surprised when
unbelievers are slow to accept the gospel coming from a
divided church
2. Many people point to the divided condition of those professing
to follow Christ...
a. Atheists and agnostics often use religious division as an
excuse not to believe in God
b. Adherents to non-Christian religions (such as Islam,
Judaism, etc.) will often use denominationalism as a reason
not to believe in Christ
3. Denominationalism has also given support and encouragement to
the cults
a. Mormonism started in reaction to the denominationalism of
Joseph Smith's day
b. Those who call themselves "Jehovah's Witnesses" use
religious division to encourage people to follow their
strictly-controlled organization

D. UNDERSTANDING THAT DENOMINATIONALISM IS WRONG HAS LED TO THESE
INTERESTING STATEMENTS...

1. From Martin Luther, the leader of the Reformation Movement:

"I ask that men make no reference to my name, and call
themselves not Lutherans, but Christians. What is Luther?
My doctrine, I am sure, is not mine, nor have I been crucified
for any one. St. Paul, in 1 Cor. 3, would not allow
Christians to call themselves Pauline or Petrine, but
Christian. How then should I, poor, foul carcass that I am,
come to have men give to the children of Christ a name
derived from my worthless name? No, no, my dear friends; let
us abolish all party names, and call ourselves Christians
after Him Whose doctrine we have."
- Hugh Thomason Kerr, A
Compend of Luther's Theology (Philadelphia: The Westminster
Press, 1943, p. 135)

2. From John Wesley, another great reformation leader, among
whose followers are Methodists, Wesleyans, etc.:

"Would to God that all party names, and unscriptural phrases
and forms which have divided the Christian world, were forgot
and that the very name [Methodist] might never be mentioned
more, but be buried in eternal oblivion."
- John Wesley,

Nations, Races, Customs, and Institutions, Vol. 9, Edward A.

p. 540)

3. From Charles Spurgeon, one of the greatest Baptist preachers
who ever lived:

"I look forward with pleasure to the day when there will not
be a Baptist living! I hope that the Baptist name will soon
perish, but let Christ's name last forever."
- Spurgeon
Memorial Library, Vol. I., p. 168

CONCLUSION

1. Well, that day has not yet come, and denominationalism with its
religious division seems to be as strong as ever!

2. But all is not lost...
a. For throughout the world, more and more people are throwing aside
their denominational shackles
b. They are following Jesus Christ in the freedom of gospel liberty
that comes from being simply a Christian!
c. And what may be a surprise to some, they are able to do so "being
like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one
mind" - cf. Php 2:2

3. How is this possible?
a. That is what I hope to demonstrate starting with the next lesson
b. But it begins with two things:
1) A strong desire to follow Jesus Christ and His prayer for
unity - cf. Jn 17:20-23
2) An understanding of the carnal nature of division, and why
denominationalism is wrong - cf. 1Co 3:3-4

Dear friend, don't you want to be simply a Christian, a follower of the
Lord Jesus Christ...?

Money & Material Possessions....

Consider what the bible says in Acts 2 about 'Money & Material Possessions'...;

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

When people are more important then money, we will not need to continually monitor the moral compass of others.

When Love becomes more important then money, there will no longer be inequality in the world.

When Jesus Christ become more important then money, we will not need 38,000 Christian denominations arguing for the souls of men as if they could offer a salvation equal to God.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Who is Jesus Christ...?

One would think that this question after two thousand plus years would have been answered beyond a shadow of the doubt, but it hasn't, lets explore why.

First I guess who Jesus Christ is to you depends on what Christian denomination you call home base. Or perhaps you don't believe in Him at all despite all the hoopla over the centuries about this man from Galilee. There are well over 30,000 plus Christian denominations, that all say they believe in God and Jesus Christ, but lets consider what James says; "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder/tremble.

The confusion comes from all the different denominations out there which I believe are designed to cause trouble and confusion for those who are searching for God. "Denominational Divergence" adds their own take on who Jesus is while ignoring this fact that God alone defines who Christ is for the believer.

Consider; Matthew 16:13-17

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.

Now lets consider whether you are currently Christian or just discovering or considering God in your life the only way to understand who Jesus is comes from the Father in heaven as does our faith so nobody can boast consider; Ephesians 2:8-10

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

The other thing is that if you asked everyone you met and know who they think Jesus Christ is you would get as many different answers as people asked. Folks lets leave the revealing to God the Father as it was meant to be and remember if you lack anything keep asking, keep knocking and keep discovering God everyday.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

What Denominations Believe...

The belief of any denomination is central to their doctrine such as;

The Nicene Creed (325) or profession of faith which says;

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father [the only-begotten; that is, of the essence of the Father, God of God], Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;

etc...

Missing is what happens when someone is saved and dies. The popular belief is that we go to heaven (is it a denominational heaven?). Why does Peter say this of King David a man after God's heart and that Jesus is the only one to ascend to heaven?

Acts 2:29-35

"Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

"The Lord said to my Lord:

"Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."

So the big question is are the souls of men immortal?

I say NO because we did not eat from The Tree of Life but only from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And that eating from that tree has caused us to try to derive life from it, through denominational divergence, ever since. "Denominational Divergence" is sin that can be drawn back to the very beginning of sin in our world at the fall of man.

Consider; John 3:13-15

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

Please notice the everyone who believes in Him, may have eternal life, it does not assure it. For without repentance, there is no salvation. The Law makes you aware of your sin, the Son sets you free.

Consider what the Apostle James says; "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder/tremble. Our belief, our faith and our Christian Walk must be more then that of demons. If it is to be believable by those that are watching for they will know we are Christians by our LOVE...

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Persevering in the Truth...

What do you believe about Jesus Christ the Messiah (Saviour) of the world?

Did Jesus come to invent a new religion or is the current denominational system an off-shoot of the Roman Catholic Religion that adopted Jesus into their religion?

Who's right, who's wrong?

Does it matter?

Well I guess the answer to these probing questions depends on what you believe about your Jesus. If you think in denominational terms and have misplaced loyalty to a denomination. Then chances are; you are a religious person pushing your party's mandate blindly and unquestionable.

The fact is that Jesus was irreligious he was vehemently against the religious system of His time and let those practicing it know in no uncertain terms that He disapproved. We are here to demonstrate God's love and without unity it will never happen. I'll say that again loudly.

WE ARE HERE TO DEMONSTRATE GOD'S LOVE AND WITHOUT UNITY IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN...

"Denominational Divergence" is sin and a stumbling block for the would be believer as Jesus said about the religious leaders of his time, I repeat now to those that push religion over truth;

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

"Woe to you, blind guides! You say, 'If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.'

You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

You also say, 'If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.'

You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.

And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.

And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Church Salvation...

Belonging as a card carrying member of a Christian denomination, has nothing at all, to do with your salvation. Because "Denominational Divergence" is sin.

Allow me to reiterate that statement...

Belonging as a card carrying member of a Christian denomination, has nothing at all, to do with your salvation. Because "Denominational Divergence" is sin.

Jesus never commanded us to follow any man's teachings over the word of God...

In fact Jesus was against the organized religion of his time and so should we...

Consider; 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ."

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Also consider;

"You may remember the story of how Satan and a demon of his were walking down the street, when they saw ahead of them a man stoop down and pick up something from the ground, look at it, and put it away in his pocket. The demon said to Satan, 'What did that man pick up?' 'He picked up a piece of the truth,' said Satan. 'That is a very bad business for you, then,' said his demon minion. 'Oh, not at all,' Satan replied, 'I am going to help him organize it.' says Satan 'We will use money as the lure and make it irresistible to the greedy, we will build a theocracy that will stand the test of time.'

Some would say but we need to be organized in order to defeat the Devil in the world. News flash, Jesus Christ already did that for us. All we need do is as believers is spread the gospel and allow others to know we are Christians by our love. Gathering is of course biblical and there is a good example in Acts as to how we should gather.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Following Through...

What happens when 90% of Christians fail to share their faith with another through their whole lifetime? See; Facts and Fiction...

Why do so-called Christians fail to share their faith with others?

I'm going to quote an atheist here by the name of Penn Jillette (Penn and Teller fame) this man is so committed to atheism that he crosses out the "In God we trust" on every American dollar bill he touches. But consider what he says about the sorry state of Christianity;

"If you believe that there's a heaven and hell, and people could be going to hell, or not getting eternal life, or whatever, and you think that, Well it's not really worth telling them this because it would be socially awkward... How much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them about it?

I mean if I believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that a truck was coming at you, and you didn’t believe it, and that truck was bearing down on you, there is a certain point where I tackle you—and this is more important than that."

Wow that's from a person that doesn't believe in God or the bible or Jesus or the message of eternal life but it seems he understands the concept of the Christian experience. So if an atheist can understand what the Christian experience is about; What is wrong with the 90% of Christians that fail to share their faith with others?

Could they not be Christian at all?

Are they the tares that Jesus Christ talks about in Matthew 13: 24-30?

What can we do to change the reality of this and follow through spreading the gospel as it was spread to us?

As Christians are we not supposed to evangelize the world starting within our own families, friends, acquaintances, neighborhoods, cities, towns, states/provinces, countries and beyond?

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Unity...

Is unity a pipe dream within the body of Christ?

Some say yes and some say no! What do you say? Have you ever thought about it?

Consider; Ephesians 4:1-6

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Have we lived worthy of the calling we have received?

Are we completely humble and gentle?

Have we been patient and bearing with one another in love?

Have we made every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through a bond of peace or is the body at war within itself?

"Denominational Divergence" is antithetical to scripture, yet it is the norm of the Christian existence upon this earth. How can this be tolerated?

Consider;

Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

Control & Conquer...

Imagine, that from a worldly perspective and an atheistic point of view there are anti-christian sentiments that be call the Christian religion as something less than perfect. Well guess what reader you do not have to imagine it, for it is truly real

Hmm, I wonder were they got that idea that Christianity is less than perfect. The churches I have been to are full of perfect Church folk that would never give the world a reason to think that. Would they? Then there are authors like Philip Pullman that are truly spreading the atheistic view to our children through literature and now film. Pullman is completely anti-Christian and is quite forward about it as well.

One of Pullmans characters says “Every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling.” This is the worlds view of church and it is growing among society as a whole. We are becoming a Godless society that is open to just about anything. If you are a Christian this should be a wake up call to change that perspective to the biblical perspective that says; "They will know we are Christians by our Love".

Christianity went from a persecuted religion to a persecuting religion under the direction of Constantine and the Roman empire. Once that move was made it opened the way to where we are now. There are thirty thousand (30,000) plus Christian denominations with many of those hostile towards each other. If we count all the branches that number could shoot to approximately thirty eight thousand 38,000.

"Denominational Divergence" is sin and until the Church folk who call themselves Christians realize this truth. Well then, the slaughter will continue, wont it?

We do not sin in a vacuum the effects of the sin of denominational divergence is apparent and although God wants to forgive sin, we must first repent and turn from it completely.

May...

Chip off the Old Block...

This morning when I woke up I had a tug on my heart to talk with my daughter about her faith, as something she said the night before was still working on me. She told me of a game that they were playing at school that had some questions about the bible. She knew all the answers and one of the kids attempted to make fun of her and called her religious. She said I'm not religious and tried to explain the difference but the kid ran away. Of course she was going to use the law (1o Commandments) to convict the kid but he ran away.

We decided that we are getting some bibles that kids would read and she would hand them out to the kids that are searching for God. Now, the coolest thing is that I see her following in the old mans steps and evangelizing those around her with the law and gospel of Jesus Christ. We talked about her friends and the ones that could back her up and she has a plan to deliver the saving message to those that as she put it are like the way she used to be. If it wasn't for this ministry (The Way Of The Master) and my learning the way to truly evangelize, my kids would not know the law which they have since memorized.

Find out for yourself
The Way of the Master

True Love & Understanding...

Folks lets face the facts about Christianity here and NOW!

"DENOMINATIONAL DIVERGENCE" is SIN and is creating apostasy within the body of Christ and it must stop TODAY!

Instead of giving clarity it is creating confusion for those that are watching and wanting to get closer to God! Even though seeking the kingdom of God is a personal effort!

We who have found God and know it beyond a shadow of a doubt, can help lead others to this amazing gift. By making the journey easier and following the biblical version to the letter without all the man-made external religiosity that denominational divergence has caused. How many souls have been lost because of the sin of denominational divergence?

How can we be sure of others having found God and faith through Jesus Christ? Simple, ask questions like, tell me about it? Ask them to tell their testimony and remember that church attendance is not compulsory for the true believer. Why? Because we are the church your body is the temple not a brick and mortar building.

Ever since I first began to seek God earnestly with my whole being (in my early twenties I am now in my mid-forties) I have been shook to my very core. Sometimes almost unable to carry-on, but God is faithful and has promised never to give us more than we can handle.

And the problem of "DENOMINATIONAL DIVERGENCE" is not more then we can handle. The reform is not of religion but of man and it has never stopped in 2000 years because we are striving towards perfection in love through God. But we must repent and turn from our sins for salvation to do its work within us... Religious sin is what Jesus confronted publicly and so must we, but not from denominational platforms.

Q. What happens when a person gets evangelized without repenting?

A. They become another false convert and start the long arduous journey in the desert of their minds trying to figure it out what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

If they make it to the next level and join a church they are then on-fire for the Lord the first several years. Serving in various positions trying to find their place. Then comes the day that they are crushed by their brethren, that want them to settle down and get with the program. Tow the party line because this is what we believe in this denomination and as a member you will believe the same or get out. Maybe its not that harsh but sometimes it is. Or perhaps they become complacent and become another adherent sitting on their hands doing nothing for the kingdom. The division of the body of Christ through denominational divergence is an abomination to God and the true believer. The worst thing is, that as these denominations split they create more denominations just like germs & bacteria and spread from body to body.

Other stuff starts happening that chips away at their faith and without the proper armor they become apostate even within the church/denomination. They try to get help from others but there is no help because everyone has their own troubles or are to busy pointing out others short comings while ignoring their own plank. Then the next thing you know they start sliding away from the church (that denomination) they choose another and low and behold the same existence is there, the same as before yet it is a different denomination. Could this be considered idolatry when we worship denominational? I say yes it is...idolatry and since idolatry is sin so is denominational divergence.

Consider what the Apostle James says; "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder/tremble. Our belief, our faith and our Christian Walk must be more then that of demons. If it is to be believable by those that are watching for they will know we are Christians by our LOVE...

Evolution & Christianity...

What is the essence of life here on earth, what do we share with all of the whole of creation?

I heard an interesting quote the other day from an apparent expert on the topic of the theory of evolution and his sudden "anti-evolutionary" view. It went some thing like this;

"One morning I woke up and...it struck me that I had been working on this stuff for twenty years and there was not one thing I knew about it. That's quite a shock to learn that one can be mislead so long...Ive tried putting a simple question to various people: 'Can you tell me anything you know about evolution, any one thing, any one thing that is true?' I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, a very prestigious body of evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a long time and eventually one person said, 'I do know one thing -- it ought not to be taught in high school.' "

Dr. Colin Patterson, senior paleontologist at the British Museum of Natural History in a keynote address at the American Museum of Natural History, New York City, in 1981.

Consider what Paul says in Acts 17;

Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.

"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

Do you think Paul can say this about Christianity's "Denominational Divergence" Does history have to continually repeat itself, are we caught in the viscous circle that the author of Ecclesiastes talks about in regards to knowledge? "For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief."

What is the grief that he talks of here?

Is it the knowledge of good and evil, and our pitiful attempts to be right with God through religious ceremony that is bereft of the true spirit of God?

The answer lies within the bible and the laws of God which should bring us repentance and the ability to be used in the Kingdom of God. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand or you will all answer for your denominational pride, religious sin, blasphemy, denominational arrogance, gluttony and superficiality to just name a few.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,

Persistence Overcomes Resistance...

The Parable of the Persistent Widow - LUKE 18:1-8
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "

And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
