Does The God of The Holy Bible Exist?

Well God can be so many things; take money for instance, it exists and becomes the God of many in this world (that’s called idolatry) no matter where you preside. Nature can be your God; Technology can be your God (again more idolatry), etc...

History they say is written by the victors and Christianity was definitely a victor so much so that there are over 5000 Greek manuscripts testifying to that fact. The New Testament is the most historically accurate book in the world, the closest after that is Homers Iliad with a whooping wait for it people here it comes; 12 that's right 12 now lets see 12 vs. 5000+ hmm, my intellect begins to bend towards the Bible as my heart and mind begin to join in exalting God instead of calling only when I need Him.

Here is a challenge to those that say God doesn’t exist. READ THE BIBLE. After all it’s only the most historically accurate book in existence today!

I consider myself a Christian just like the ones from the New Testament that joined together and allowed the weaknesses and the pain of others to pierce them. And to Act out in compassion towards those that truly need and want to experience the hope of an end to the pain this world offers us. No matter how happy you think you are or how high you climb after a certain height the only way for one to go is down. And it is in this place most people find God for real and understand that there is more than just themselves.

So I will pray the harsh prayer for everyone that refutes God’s sovereignty and His chosen people (which is every living person). That they would experience a crisis or crises that would help them find the living God and change them.

What God/Creator do you believe in?

  • The God of The Holy Bible

  • Money

  • Manmade

Before you say I believe in this or that religion or none at all which is your right to do so if you so choose (one question, why do you believe that?). I suggest you look at the Bible in its entirety. Also take a look at all the worlds religions and the fact, that of all the major world religions and philosophies, only ‘Jesus’ is present in them all. Perhaps not as God but He is mentioned nonetheless. No other religion can say that! Does that not seem odd that the Jesus of the Bible the most historically accurate book we know of is in almost every world religion in existence?

The Bible says we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) God knows us intimately and understands our needs. God offers us what it is that we all desperately need as human beings. Ask yourself this question where would you be without the one thing that every human being in the whole world needs. Love, the Bible is a book about Love, and the source of Love, is God. God demonstrates His own Love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

If we say we Love God yet hate our brother God calls you liar (1John 4:20). Jesus took the Ten Commandments and summed up all moral obligations (the law as well as mans regulations) into two commandments;

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it:

You shall Love your neighbour as yourself.

On these two commandments hang all the Law of the Prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40)

So Love is the common denominator and the source of Love is God!

Would it not be worth it to explore that by reading the Bible in its entirety then practicing what you learn by Loving others,? But not just others like you but those that we consider lost, drunks, prostitutes, thieves. You know those people.

Now for those salty Christians that say things like “I’m preaching to the choir”. How about the new believers that found your church. You know the ones that you tolerate for a few years. Tolerate what we call on fire by the Holy Spirit. You tolerate the fire until you feel they are now mature enough to crush, and then you crush them. Why? Don’t you know that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit?

If any of this has penetrated your heart and you would like to receive the living God’s promise of eternal life ask yourself if you are a good person. Then look at the Ten Commandments and ask again. If there is a one in a million chance that God is our judge and He judges us on the Law of the Ten Commandments which we hang on the two commandments Jesus gave us where would that leave you;

  • Heaven
  • Hell

The neatest thing about those two commandments that Jesus gave us is that we can’t do the first without doing the second first.

You shall Love your neighbour as yourself”.

Let’s look at how easy that could be…

How do you Love yourself lets count the ways;

  • Food
  • Clothes
  • Personal hygiene
  • Time
  • Recreation
  • Exercise
  • Education/Study
  • Relationship
  • Prayer

The list could be endless, the fact is that God calls you as a believer or prospective believer to “Love others as you Love yourself”. Only then can we approach God and say we Love Him otherwise we are considered liars by God Himself. Pretty neat huh?

There was this great King in the Bible called David, that God said was a man “after his own heart” (1Samuel 13:14) He did some great wonderful things for God. He also did some stuff that he shouldn’t have, like commit adultery and murder the husband of the woman he was adulterous with. But later in Psalm 51 he repented of his wrong doing. So if you feel the need to repent use that Psalm as your prayer. Ask God to forgive you and see if your prayers bounce back at you or go straight to God with a blessing poured out on you for your exercise of faith.

The bible has 58 covenant blessings that are available to you as a believer all you need to do is understand the word ‘covenant’ which is an agreement between you and God. You do your part God blesses you which is His part.

To be continued…

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
