The Bad Christian Project...

Calling all God's people everywhere...

Get involved in the "The Bad Christian Project" make a difference in your faith today and learn about the history of Christianity. Here is brief synopsis of how it all went down...

Once upon a time there was this little Roman Emperor named Nero. You know the guy that played the fiddle while Rome burned. Nero wanted to rename Rome under his name and started the fire. He blamed the Christians for the fire and wholesale persecution started. With thousands and thousands of Christians dying for something they never did. Then about 250 years later along came another Emperor named Constantine. Who was best known for being the first Christian Roman Emperor. Under Constantine Christianity moved from a persecuted belief to a persecuting religion literally overnight.

Then about 1200 years later along came a simple German monk named Martin Luther who started the great reformation and the split from the Roman Catholic church. Protestantism was born. Fast forward to today 2010 there are currently 38,000 Christian denominations that are not supported by scripture yet they exist. My question is why do we allow this when it is clear in scripture we are to be united?

The Bad Christian Project is a fairly large effort that will need the cooperation and unity of many Christian folk right across the world. The whole idea stems from the fact that Christianity is divided by denominational divergence and that we as believers in Christ can work together to make a difference in our belief. And further the great commission to make disciples of all the world. Starting here in North America and moving as far as God will allow the project to reach. That we can break down the barriers of denomination by participating in a project that makes a bee-line to the message of Jesus Christ.

The project itself is a grassroots movement that can help raise awareness to the fact that Christianity in the beginning was a persecuted belief. And that persecution of that belief still happens in many parts of the world Today. Maybe it happens right in your own church or neighborhood. The project will focus on how denominational divergence started and how we as grassroots believers in Jesus Christ can stop the spread of sectarianism in Christianity and get back to the basics of why Jesus came and offered salvation to a dying world.

I am asking people of faith from every denomination these questions...

1. Do you think that God sent Jesus Christ to the earth to set-up a new religion called Christianity? If yes... Where in scripture would you find that Jesus was to start a new religion called Christianity?

2. What denomination did Jesus and the Apostles belong too?

3. Will Jesus find faith on the earth when He comes on the great and final day?

Also I would like to receive any footage from anywhere that shows believers being persecuted for their belief in Jesus Christ. This footage could include folks who have been excommunicated for any type of reason from any denomination.

People needed;

- Prayer Warriors to pray continually for the project from start to finish.

- Amateur/Professional Film Makers - Who have DV style camera's right across the world who would be willing to shoot footage in their cities and send it in to me for consideration in the film.

- People that can help with production, graphics, website, computer animations, posters and as general lobbyists to gain support from the Christian community in their geographical locations.

- Film industry people who would give their talents to help make the film look professional and help with distribution.

- Musicians/Song Writers/Artists/Actors/Actresses et al that would be willing to contribute their talent through song, poetry, prose, painting and any and all art-forms that excite the senses.

- Donations of money, time, talent for every aspect of this creation.

Folks I am just a small believer with a big dream that is based in scripture. If God is for us, who can be against us? And that despite the huge problems that the current 38,000 Christian denominations have caused. We as believers despite our denominational differences can one day walk into any Christian church that professes Jesus Christ as Lord and be accepted. Just as Jesus accepts us into his body and that we can be one just as the Father and Son are one. Is this not the prayer that Jesus prayed for all believers?

JOHN 17: 20-26

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

LOVE - The Final Frontier...

Star date: 8/19/2009

This is a blog about love and that love that is of God which is superior to the human version and fulfilling beyond your wildest imagination. Love is something that we all want and need it is has been written about more than any other topic in the history of mankind. Check out the most historically accurate book in existence to day the Holy Bible for it is truly the greatest love story ever written.

There are many types of love but in the English language only has one word for it; LOVE. Love brings to mind images of grandeur that surpass even the loftiest thinkers.

Lets look at what Jesus had to say about this fantastic topic...

MATTHEW 22:37-40

37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38. This is the first and great commandment.

39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Understand...?

An Atheist & Christian Conversation - continued...

See "An Atheist and Christian Conversation" from Tuesday, May 22, 2007 for the beginning of this conversation.

ATHEIST;

Historic accuracy says the atheist with undignified guile; if it was truly accurate what explains the persons of King David, Solomon, Uzziah, Hezekiah and many others mentioned only in your fictional book. Archaeological discoveries do not back up the precious words or persons of your book.

CHRISTIAN;

How about in 1993 says Christian, when archeologists digging at Tel Dan in the Galilee in northern Israel found a fragment of a stone inscription that clearly refers to the "House of David" and identifies David as the "King of Israel." This is the first inscription outside the Bible that confirms the Bible's statement that David was the King of Israel in the ninth century before Christ.

ATHEIST;

Perhaps that is true but it still does not prove God nor does it overly convince me that God exists because David was a King in Israel.

CHRISTIAN;

David was King in Israel and there is not one archaeological discovery that has ever proven wrong a Biblical reference. For on the contrary, the accuracy of the Bible has been substantiated by archaeological discoveries over and over throughout history. Does not a book of that caliber ask for a reader to read and ask God himself if he is real?

ATHEIST;

History is a matter of personal interpretation based on your personal view of God; since God does not exist then your history is also in question based on this formula;

Premise: Since there is no God,

Conclusion: there are no absolutes.

Premise: Since there are no absolutes,

Conclusion: everything is relative.

Premise: Since everything is relative,

Conclusion: history is relative.

CHRISTIAN;

I see says Christian that your thinking or should I say believing takes more faith than the simple belief that God exists. My personal belief in God exists because I asked and he showed me He is real.

When in my youth I did partner with another in the making of a board game that took a fair commitment of our money and time. When the backers of said game did finally back out and left us with nothing but a useless prototype of the game.

My partner was a Christian and I was not we had nothing left to eat except a box of macaroni and cheese and I said to my partner out of hunger and frustration that I will pray to your God for bread and milk, for even God must know macaroni and cheese tastes better with bread and milk. I prayed and walked a little ways down the street and what did we find on the ground but that what I prayed for bread and milk.

Coincidence says I; not wanting to believe, but the look on my friends face was priceless as it said; you mean you can do that? I did not become a Christian that day but shortly thereafter I did accept Jesus as my personal Savior.

Have you ever asked if God is real?

If you haven't then I challenge you to ask out of the abundance of your heart if God is real and perhaps like me; he will show you as well, that he is real and cares about you and your personal needs.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Does The God of The Holy Bible Exist?

Well God can be so many things; take money for instance, it exists and becomes the God of many in this world (that’s called idolatry) no matter where you preside. Nature can be your God; Technology can be your God (again more idolatry), etc...

History they say is written by the victors and Christianity was definitely a victor so much so that there are over 5000 Greek manuscripts testifying to that fact. The New Testament is the most historically accurate book in the world, the closest after that is Homers Iliad with a whooping wait for it people here it comes; 12 that's right 12 now lets see 12 vs. 5000+ hmm, my intellect begins to bend towards the Bible as my heart and mind begin to join in exalting God instead of calling only when I need Him.

Here is a challenge to those that say God doesn’t exist. READ THE BIBLE. After all it’s only the most historically accurate book in existence today!

I consider myself a Christian just like the ones from the New Testament that joined together and allowed the weaknesses and the pain of others to pierce them. And to Act out in compassion towards those that truly need and want to experience the hope of an end to the pain this world offers us. No matter how happy you think you are or how high you climb after a certain height the only way for one to go is down. And it is in this place most people find God for real and understand that there is more than just themselves.

So I will pray the harsh prayer for everyone that refutes God’s sovereignty and His chosen people (which is every living person). That they would experience a crisis or crises that would help them find the living God and change them.

What God/Creator do you believe in?

  • The God of The Holy Bible

  • Money

  • Manmade

Before you say I believe in this or that religion or none at all which is your right to do so if you so choose (one question, why do you believe that?). I suggest you look at the Bible in its entirety. Also take a look at all the worlds religions and the fact, that of all the major world religions and philosophies, only ‘Jesus’ is present in them all. Perhaps not as God but He is mentioned nonetheless. No other religion can say that! Does that not seem odd that the Jesus of the Bible the most historically accurate book we know of is in almost every world religion in existence?

The Bible says we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) God knows us intimately and understands our needs. God offers us what it is that we all desperately need as human beings. Ask yourself this question where would you be without the one thing that every human being in the whole world needs. Love, the Bible is a book about Love, and the source of Love, is God. God demonstrates His own Love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

If we say we Love God yet hate our brother God calls you liar (1John 4:20). Jesus took the Ten Commandments and summed up all moral obligations (the law as well as mans regulations) into two commandments;

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it:

You shall Love your neighbour as yourself.

On these two commandments hang all the Law of the Prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40)

So Love is the common denominator and the source of Love is God!

Would it not be worth it to explore that by reading the Bible in its entirety then practicing what you learn by Loving others,? But not just others like you but those that we consider lost, drunks, prostitutes, thieves. You know those people.

Now for those salty Christians that say things like “I’m preaching to the choir”. How about the new believers that found your church. You know the ones that you tolerate for a few years. Tolerate what we call on fire by the Holy Spirit. You tolerate the fire until you feel they are now mature enough to crush, and then you crush them. Why? Don’t you know that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit?

If any of this has penetrated your heart and you would like to receive the living God’s promise of eternal life ask yourself if you are a good person. Then look at the Ten Commandments and ask again. If there is a one in a million chance that God is our judge and He judges us on the Law of the Ten Commandments which we hang on the two commandments Jesus gave us where would that leave you;

  • Heaven
  • Hell

The neatest thing about those two commandments that Jesus gave us is that we can’t do the first without doing the second first.

You shall Love your neighbour as yourself”.

Let’s look at how easy that could be…

How do you Love yourself lets count the ways;

  • Food
  • Clothes
  • Personal hygiene
  • Time
  • Recreation
  • Exercise
  • Education/Study
  • Relationship
  • Prayer

The list could be endless, the fact is that God calls you as a believer or prospective believer to “Love others as you Love yourself”. Only then can we approach God and say we Love Him otherwise we are considered liars by God Himself. Pretty neat huh?

There was this great King in the Bible called David, that God said was a man “after his own heart” (1Samuel 13:14) He did some great wonderful things for God. He also did some stuff that he shouldn’t have, like commit adultery and murder the husband of the woman he was adulterous with. But later in Psalm 51 he repented of his wrong doing. So if you feel the need to repent use that Psalm as your prayer. Ask God to forgive you and see if your prayers bounce back at you or go straight to God with a blessing poured out on you for your exercise of faith.

The bible has 58 covenant blessings that are available to you as a believer all you need to do is understand the word ‘covenant’ which is an agreement between you and God. You do your part God blesses you which is His part.

To be continued…

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
