The Bad Christian Project...

Calling all God's people everywhere...

Get involved in the "The Bad Christian Project" make a difference in your faith today and learn about the history of Christianity. Here is brief synopsis of how it all went down...

Once upon a time there was this little Roman Emperor named Nero. You know the guy that played the fiddle while Rome burned. Nero wanted to rename Rome under his name and started the fire. He blamed the Christians for the fire and wholesale persecution started. With thousands and thousands of Christians dying for something they never did. Then about 250 years later along came another Emperor named Constantine. Who was best known for being the first Christian Roman Emperor. Under Constantine Christianity moved from a persecuted belief to a persecuting religion literally overnight.

Then about 1200 years later along came a simple German monk named Martin Luther who started the great reformation and the split from the Roman Catholic church. Protestantism was born. Fast forward to today 2010 there are currently 38,000 Christian denominations that are not supported by scripture yet they exist. My question is why do we allow this when it is clear in scripture we are to be united?

The Bad Christian Project is a fairly large effort that will need the cooperation and unity of many Christian folk right across the world. The whole idea stems from the fact that Christianity is divided by denominational divergence and that we as believers in Christ can work together to make a difference in our belief. And further the great commission to make disciples of all the world. Starting here in North America and moving as far as God will allow the project to reach. That we can break down the barriers of denomination by participating in a project that makes a bee-line to the message of Jesus Christ.

The project itself is a grassroots movement that can help raise awareness to the fact that Christianity in the beginning was a persecuted belief. And that persecution of that belief still happens in many parts of the world Today. Maybe it happens right in your own church or neighborhood. The project will focus on how denominational divergence started and how we as grassroots believers in Jesus Christ can stop the spread of sectarianism in Christianity and get back to the basics of why Jesus came and offered salvation to a dying world.

I am asking people of faith from every denomination these questions...

1. Do you think that God sent Jesus Christ to the earth to set-up a new religion called Christianity? If yes... Where in scripture would you find that Jesus was to start a new religion called Christianity?

2. What denomination did Jesus and the Apostles belong too?

3. Will Jesus find faith on the earth when He comes on the great and final day?

Also I would like to receive any footage from anywhere that shows believers being persecuted for their belief in Jesus Christ. This footage could include folks who have been excommunicated for any type of reason from any denomination.

People needed;

- Prayer Warriors to pray continually for the project from start to finish.

- Amateur/Professional Film Makers - Who have DV style camera's right across the world who would be willing to shoot footage in their cities and send it in to me for consideration in the film.

- People that can help with production, graphics, website, computer animations, posters and as general lobbyists to gain support from the Christian community in their geographical locations.

- Film industry people who would give their talents to help make the film look professional and help with distribution.

- Musicians/Song Writers/Artists/Actors/Actresses et al that would be willing to contribute their talent through song, poetry, prose, painting and any and all art-forms that excite the senses.

- Donations of money, time, talent for every aspect of this creation.

Folks I am just a small believer with a big dream that is based in scripture. If God is for us, who can be against us? And that despite the huge problems that the current 38,000 Christian denominations have caused. We as believers despite our denominational differences can one day walk into any Christian church that professes Jesus Christ as Lord and be accepted. Just as Jesus accepts us into his body and that we can be one just as the Father and Son are one. Is this not the prayer that Jesus prayed for all believers?

JOHN 17: 20-26

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

Christian Persecution and REALITY...

Christianity has become big business and so is the persecution of Christians when you hear of persecutions the very next thing you hear is please send money to stop it. But what about the real persecution of the Christian person that is trying to follow Jesus right here at home and the assault of doctrine, denominational divergence and sea of unwritten rules they must muddle through on their journey. Not to mention the wholesale use of God's name as a swear in everyday verbal transactions that are promoted by Hollywood in movies as acceptable speech.

Confusion is the enemies tactic to keep us down and make us think that we need scholars and religious leaders to interpret our bible for us. Nothing can take the place of you reading your bible for yourself and digesting God's word into your daily life. Jesus said I have food you don't know about and that food is available to us all in the word of God. Remember they are watching you.

Who are they you might ask? Well, they are people who want to have what you have, believe what you believe and they are watching you, to see if you are for real. Love is the binding reality of the professing Christian for if you do all types of good deeds and are philanthropic at heart and people say all types of nice things about you. Remember if it is done without love you may as well not have done it at all.

Don't sweat the little stuff you've heard that before but when the little stuff is an everyday bombardment of your faith and belief system by others trying to catch you being wrong so they can judge you for the "Bad Christian" you truly are.

Well it approaches lunacy and it is something we need to internalize and deal with because it is real and uncalled for verbal aggression toward your belief system. You see when your belief system is attacked it makes you want to fight. And you also will remember exactly what was said and will react sometimes undesirably giving your attackers ammo for their judgment guns.

So with that said; do you know what you believe and why you believe it?

Lets start with your testimony knowing why you believe what you believe is important. It makes the interaction personal on your part as in I believe in Jesus because; then tell your story/testimony to your listeners. My suggestion would be to write it out completely and know it inside out. Practice they say makes perfect if you are not sure how to do it then ask here or send me an email and I'll walk you through the process.

Understanding is the catalyst that makes all the difference when sharing your faith with others. Understanding includes knowing the history of Christianity and the biblical precepts that show God in relation to us. Early Christian believers were persecuted by the Jewish leaders of the time whom refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah. And the Roman empire that was the law of the land at the time. John the Baptist prepared the way and testified to the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; Who said

• I am the Way
• The Truth
• And the Life
  

Now the history as it happened, Christianity went from a persecuted belief to a persecuting religion by the Romans under Constantine I. Early Christians were brutally persecuted by the Roman empire. Then when the Roman empire embraced Christianity they persecuted those that didn't believe their version of Christianity. Under Roman rule the atrocities committed in the name of God are simply horrid. All of Christendom as we know it is spawned from this system that introduced all types of idolatry and paganism that has since become doctrine and tradition. Such as;

• Marriage - The commercialization of marriage goes against the biblical version of marriage. Most people entering into marriage today must conform to the worldly version which is perpetuated in some Christian denominational church. The purchase of rings and all the other trappings are considered to be a showing of your love the greater the expense the greater your love... What a load of crap
  

• Church - You need to be a member of a church... No you do not need to be a member of any Christian denomination to be a believer of Jesus Christ
  

• Denominational Divergence - There are currently 30,000 plus Christian denominations competing for the souls of men and they are almost all off-shoots of the Roman Catholic system of belief that practice some form of idolatry or paganism within their traditions... Free your mind the rest will follow

• Debt - Is a form of slavery that is conforming to the world that is why I am sure the early Christians of the Acts 2: 42-47 church consolidated their resources to be free of debt and slavery to this world... Spread the word
  

• Tithing - Again look at the Acts 2: 42-47 church and use that template for a christian community that would relieve the financial burdens of believers and allow them to occupy their minds with God instead of financial burdens... tithing is not giving to a church but those in need of financial relief, if your socioeconomic position allows you to partner up with someone that struggles monthly please do it out of love and consider it your tithe

The Emphatic Believer...

Being sure of ones salvation is always sound practice as we learn to practice our faith in a dying world. Practice they say makes perfect and being perfected in holiness is what we are to practice daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.

How we practice makes as much of a difference as to what we believe…

Understanding how to or even what to practice in demonstrating our faith is important to accomplishing through God’s infinite grace the perfecting the Bible talks about, consider Matthew 5:43-48.

Love for Enemies

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'

44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?

47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

WHO IS YOUR ENEMY?

Is it the church down the street that you are competing with for spiritual supremacy of your neighborhood?

Is it the factions within your church that you compete with for supremacy of who gets to be THE ONE or ONES that comes up with and implements all the cool and or newest outreach or ministry ideas?

Is it your family or circle of friends or certain persons within your family or circle of friends?

WHO IS YOUR PERSECUTOR?

Is it the people from the 33,000 other christian denominations that exist in this wacky world?

Is it the people in your very own chosen church?

Members of the church against non-members or adherents?

Is it family members or friends maybe co-workers that persecute you because of your belief?

No matter who your enemies and persecutors are the biblical response is to show love which can be acquainted to actual holiness. Love and holiness go together like hate and death are to sin.

For us to defeat the hate responses or anger we feel at being persecuted or hated by others. then we cannot rely on our own understanding alone, but the understanding of God as promised in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2:38,39). If we are to overcome hate and persecution in our domestic, personal, spiritual and working lives we need to trust God's promises to be true and already fulfilled through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the redemption of our sins.

We also need to admit that none of us are perfect see; ADVERTISING OUR IMPERFECTIONS, also consider what the bible says about us Romans 3;9-20
