Control & Conquer...

Imagine, that from a worldly perspective and an atheistic point of view there are anti-christian sentiments that be call the Christian religion as something less than perfect. Well guess what reader you do not have to imagine it, for it is truly real

Hmm, I wonder were they got that idea that Christianity is less than perfect. The churches I have been to are full of perfect Church folk that would never give the world a reason to think that. Would they? Then there are authors like Philip Pullman that are truly spreading the atheistic view to our children through literature and now film. Pullman is completely anti-Christian and is quite forward about it as well.

One of Pullmans characters says “Every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling.” This is the worlds view of church and it is growing among society as a whole. We are becoming a Godless society that is open to just about anything. If you are a Christian this should be a wake up call to change that perspective to the biblical perspective that says; "They will know we are Christians by our Love".

Christianity went from a persecuted religion to a persecuting religion under the direction of Constantine and the Roman empire. Once that move was made it opened the way to where we are now. There are thirty thousand (30,000) plus Christian denominations with many of those hostile towards each other. If we count all the branches that number could shoot to approximately thirty eight thousand 38,000.

"Denominational Divergence" is sin and until the Church folk who call themselves Christians realize this truth. Well then, the slaughter will continue, wont it?

We do not sin in a vacuum the effects of the sin of denominational divergence is apparent and although God wants to forgive sin, we must first repent and turn from it completely.

May...

Chip off the Old Block...

This morning when I woke up I had a tug on my heart to talk with my daughter about her faith, as something she said the night before was still working on me. She told me of a game that they were playing at school that had some questions about the bible. She knew all the answers and one of the kids attempted to make fun of her and called her religious. She said I'm not religious and tried to explain the difference but the kid ran away. Of course she was going to use the law (1o Commandments) to convict the kid but he ran away.

We decided that we are getting some bibles that kids would read and she would hand them out to the kids that are searching for God. Now, the coolest thing is that I see her following in the old mans steps and evangelizing those around her with the law and gospel of Jesus Christ. We talked about her friends and the ones that could back her up and she has a plan to deliver the saving message to those that as she put it are like the way she used to be. If it wasn't for this ministry (The Way Of The Master) and my learning the way to truly evangelize, my kids would not know the law which they have since memorized.

Find out for yourself

True Love & Understanding...

Folks lets face the facts about Christianity here and NOW!

"DENOMINATIONAL DIVERGENCE" is SIN and is creating apostasy within the body of Christ and it must stop TODAY!

Instead of giving clarity it is creating confusion for those that are watching and wanting to get closer to God! Even though seeking the kingdom of God is a personal effort!

We who have found God and know it beyond a shadow of a doubt, can help lead others to this amazing gift. By making the journey easier and following the biblical version to the letter without all the man-made external religiosity that denominational divergence has caused. How many souls have been lost because of the sin of denominational divergence?

How can we be sure of others having found God and faith through Jesus Christ? Simple, ask questions like, tell me about it? Ask them to tell their testimony and remember that church attendance is not compulsory for the true believer. Why? Because we are the church your body is the temple not a brick and mortar building.

Ever since I first began to seek God earnestly with my whole being (in my early twenties I am now in my mid-forties) I have been shook to my very core. Sometimes almost unable to carry-on, but God is faithful and has promised never to give us more than we can handle.

And the problem of "DENOMINATIONAL DIVERGENCE" is not more then we can handle. The reform is not of religion but of man and it has never stopped in 2000 years because we are striving towards perfection in love through God. But we must repent and turn from our sins for salvation to do its work within us... Religious sin is what Jesus confronted publicly and so must we, but not from denominational platforms.

Q. What happens when a person gets evangelized without repenting?

A. They become another false convert and start the long arduous journey in the desert of their minds trying to figure it out what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

If they make it to the next level and join a church they are then on-fire for the Lord the first several years. Serving in various positions trying to find their place. Then comes the day that they are crushed by their brethren, that want them to settle down and get with the program. Tow the party line because this is what we believe in this denomination and as a member you will believe the same or get out. Maybe its not that harsh but sometimes it is. Or perhaps they become complacent and become another adherent sitting on their hands doing nothing for the kingdom. The division of the body of Christ through denominational divergence is an abomination to God and the true believer. The worst thing is, that as these denominations split they create more denominations just like germs & bacteria and spread from body to body.

Other stuff starts happening that chips away at their faith and without the proper armor they become apostate even within the church/denomination. They try to get help from others but there is no help because everyone has their own troubles or are to busy pointing out others short comings while ignoring their own plank. Then the next thing you know they start sliding away from the church (that denomination) they choose another and low and behold the same existence is there, the same as before yet it is a different denomination. Could this be considered idolatry when we worship denominational? I say yes it is...idolatry and since idolatry is sin so is denominational divergence.

Consider what the Apostle James says; "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder/tremble. Our belief, our faith and our Christian Walk must be more then that of demons. If it is to be believable by those that are watching for they will know we are Christians by our LOVE...

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Evolution & Christianity...

What is the essence of life here on earth, what do we share with all of the whole of creation?

I heard an interesting quote the other day from an apparent expert on the topic of the theory of evolution and his sudden "anti-evolutionary" view. It went some thing like this;

"One morning I woke up and...it struck me that I had been working on this stuff for twenty years and there was not one thing I knew about it. That's quite a shock to learn that one can be mislead so long...Ive tried putting a simple question to various people: 'Can you tell me anything you know about evolution, any one thing, any one thing that is true?' I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, a very prestigious body of evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a long time and eventually one person said, 'I do know one thing -- it ought not to be taught in high school.' "

Dr. Colin Patterson, senior paleontologist at the British Museum of Natural History in a keynote address at the American Museum of Natural History, New York City, in 1981.

Consider what Paul says in Acts 17;

Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.

"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

Do you think Paul can say this about Christianity's "Denominational Divergence" Does history have to continually repeat itself, are we caught in the viscous circle that the author of Ecclesiastes talks about in regards to knowledge? "For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief."

What is the grief that he talks of here?

Is it the knowledge of good and evil, and our pitiful attempts to be right with God through religious ceremony that is bereft of the true spirit of God?

The answer lies within the bible and the laws of God which should bring us repentance and the ability to be used in the Kingdom of God. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand or you will all answer for your denominational pride, religious sin, blasphemy, denominational arrogance, gluttony and superficiality to just name a few.

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Persistence Overcomes Resistance...

The Parable of the Persistent Widow - LUKE 18:1-8
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "

And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

The Jesus Center...

I want to be like Jesus!

But, hold on what does that mean?

Jesus lived a short life over two thousand years ago he went against the religious status quo and got killed for his troubles. Jesus showed us that men can dispute about God even with God and not know Him. Jesus said; "Before Abraham was, I AM"

Right smack dab in the center of Christianity is Jesus Christ. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. The centrality of that fact is paramount in living a Jesus centered existence. I have a dream that all Christians throughout the world would show that Jesus is the center and repent from "Denominational Divergence". Lets start with our own neighborhoods, cities, towns, provinces/states and countries by being part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Imagine if you had prior knowledge that a building housing 1000's of people was going to burn down at 3:00 A.M. on November 1, 2009.

Would you tell them about it?

Now the bible states that unless we repent and turn from our sins we will burn forever...

Consider Luke 16: 19-31;

"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

Do you believe that Jesus was risen from the dead?

How many people have you told today?

How about yesterday?

How about this week?

How about this month?

How about this year?

How about since you believed?

NEED HELP?

The Way of the Master

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Facts or Fiction...?

Facts are sometimes hard to take but these facts are far to penetrating to ignore I must share them here with all those who will listen and all those who will hear. One recent fact I heard in a sermon from a respected teacher named James A. McDonald of Walk in the Word was that 90% of Christians fail to share their faith with another through their whole lifetime. Man is this true, why do we fail to share the wonderful message of Jesus Christ to a dying world? Is it perhaps because those 90% of professing Christians are not really Christians at all?

Consider what Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-92) who was England's best-known preacher said about it and I quote in paraphrase:” If you consider yourself a Christian but do not have a burning desire to see another saved you are no Christian at all” this from a man who preached to 10,000 at a time before the invention of the microphone and the super church. Spurgeon’s humble beginnings were from a small Baptist church of 232 to a super church of almost 6,000 every sermon he gave and there are literally hundreds if not thousands focused on Jesus Christ he said “I take my text and make a beeline to the cross”. The incredible thing about Spurgeon is that he wrote a cache of information about Jesus and most if not all is still available from Pilgrim Publications the motto of his church was “We Preach Christ and Him Crucified”.

According to Darian Kovacs who while still in high School sparked a movement named canadafire to see Christian students be leaders and people of influence in their schools says 96% of Christians in communities have prayed at the Pole in a popular activity that started in Texas called “See You At The Pole” SYATP and is spreading throughout the whole world where local Christians are called to demonstrate their faith and pick a pole and pray for students, leaders and the school system. Of the 96% that participate only a dismal 4% continue to pray at the Pole or almost any activity after an event. In other words we lack commitment and follow through because we can’t do it on our own, we need the Holy Spirit. Christian people everywhere the fake it until you make it method doesn’t work long-term because God sees what we as human can’t see, YOUR BIG BLACK HEART.

Let me ask you this “professing attending church every Sunday Christian” if the world ended in the next 60 seconds would you go to heaven with the rest of the saints that have given and dedicated their lives to God as an acceptable sacrifice and proclaimed Jesus Christ in faith to unbelievers everywhere, or would Jesus say I never knew you? Want to be sure that he doesn’t say I never knew you? Then I challenge you to step up in faith and get involved, don’t believe what I’m saying is true, well before you discount what I’m saying as hyperbole ask your pastor what percentage of people in your church are actually serving you will probably hear 10% but more than likely that number is lower.

What if I challenged you all, too step up in faith and ask God what his purpose is for you; better yet dedicate the rest of your life to serving God TODAY! Would you?

Remember David after he had committed adultery and murder he turned from his sin by penning this little ditty Psalm 51. Go ahead click on it read it and make it your own turn from your wicked ways before its to late remember 60 seconds is not a long time at all which reminds me of a story I heard about Satan planning to take us all with him it went something like this;

Satan is in hell, planning how he will get all of mankind to participate in his rebellion against God and burn with him in eternity. He ponders what lie he will use to make that happen and since he is the Father of lies and has had a lot of time to think about it he knows that the lie must contain some truth.

Now as he ponders that thought along comes a devil of his congregation if you will and says “Lord of Hades and all that is evil I have a sure fire method to get a 3rd of the earths population to burn with us” Satan considers the devils proposal and finally says “alright what do you propose?” the devil then answers. “Well first of all, I will disguise myself as a mortal and go up to the earth. I will then tell them that there is no heaven and there is no hell. According to my data we will get a 3rd of the population down here with us”.

Satan thinks on this for awhile and as he is thinking a 2nd devil comes along who is much smarter and wickeder than the 1st devil. And he says “I have that first devils plan beat by millions and millions of souls” So Satan says “and what would you do that is so much better?” The 2nd devil replies “Well I also will disguise myself as a mortal and go to the earth and tell everyone there is a God and heaven and that there is a Satan and hell, according to my data we will get two thirds of the earths population to participate in our rebellion and burn with us”.

Satan likes these odds much better but ponders further wondering if there is yet another way to get them all...?

As Satan ponders the matter a 3rd devil much smarter than the other two and much wickeder yet by far, full of arrogance and deceit and all works of the flesh (Galatians 5) comes along and makes this proposal “I have those two other bozos plan beat by a Hades mile and can guarantee you the whole shooting match, the big enchilada, every single soul 100% the only thing I ask is to be chief torturer of the Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s. So what do you say chiefaroonie tickle yer fancy huh wanna here the plan huh wanna hear the plan?”

Satan says “go ahead slimy underling give me all the details of your plan to get hated mankind to burn with us. Especially since they don’t know that Jesus already defeated us at Calvary by dying on the cross He took all of mankind’s sin upon himself”. So the devil responded with this “I too would disguise myself as a mortal and I would tell the world that there is a Satan and there is a hell and that there is a God and there is a heaven and that the only way to heaven is through God’s son Jesus Christ, the only difference is that I would give them as much time to think about it as they like.

Bada bing, bada boom we get the whole population of the third rock from the sun burning with us for an eternity”. “Genius” says Satan “make it so and while your at it lets teach them to blaspheme God by programming it into their movies and their everyday talk just to make sure we add insult to injury!” We also must get them arguing by introducing hearsay into their Christian lives lets call it "Denominational Divergence".

The Way of the Master

According to Don Pickle of Avant Ministries a well known church planting missionary group with locations in the U.S.A. and Canada
the problem lies at the core of Christianity and the fact that we do not reach out in our neighbourhoods like we used to, we fail at the first level of mission work so we fail at the long-term. The facts are that almost every church despite the fact that it is more costly to send short-term missionaries are not supporting long-term missions of five or more years and are not recruiting from within or even adding new Christians daily as they did in the Acts church of the Bible.

Perhaps in the near future as has happened in Europe were it could be considered Christianity was brought to this continent we will need missionaries to visit us from Africa and beyond to re-establish Christ here as well. Or we could as professing Christians stand up and put the King of Kings back to His prominent position as God. Allow our schools to pray and to repeat the Lords prayer as we used to and allow for mission work in the school because we are true believers of Jesus Christ in this country, this continent and we must stand for something or fall for anything. What better way to stand, then on the Rock of Jesus Christ?

May...

The Lord bless and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
