Easy Christian Solutions to Life’s Problems

If there’s one thing that can be said with certainty about life, it’s that it is not easy. We are beset with problems at every turn, and not all of them have visible or viable solutions. So unless we learn how to cope with them, we’re going to end up becoming victims of stress. I’ve learned through experience that one of the best ways to deal with stress and reduce its detrimental effects on our life and our health is through religion. Spirituality can work wonders in helping you find solutions to life’s problems, so if you’re looking for answers, here are a few Christian solutions to the common ills that plague you:

· M Money: It’s not an exaggeration to say that the world revolves around money. Without this manmade concept of riches, we would have no life. And even though money is not everything, we do need enough of it to live satisfactorily. So if you’re having money trouble, the best way to get over it is to analyze your spending habits and make the necessary amends. Remember the parable of the talents where God rewarded his servants who had used their money to make more money and punished the one who was too cowardly to invest it wisely? Well, there’s a lesson we can learn from this story – it pays to spend less than what we earn and also put away an amount that accrues interest and will stand us in good stead in the event of a rainy day.

· R Relationships: No man is an island and we need other people for our emotional and sometimes even physical needs. Whenever any relationship in your hits a problem or goes through a bad patch, all you need to do is remember the commandment that says – Love your neighbor as you love yourself – the neighbor here refers to your loved one. And when you love them as much as you love yourself, you see things in a different light. It’s not all about you and you’re able to understand their feelings as well. This positive outlook changes your relationships for the better.

· W Work: To be successful at work and avoid problems at your workplace, all you need to do is take heed of the fourth commandment – Observe the Sabbath as a holy day and work diligently on the other six days of the week. When you follow this to the letter, you not only get all your work done efficiently and on time, you also prevent yourself from falling prey to stress and overwork by taking adequate rest and rejuvenating yourself on Sunday.

Our lives revolve around money, friends, family and work, not necessarily in that order. By using lessons from the Bible wisely, it’s easy to solve any problems we may face.

Finding Solace in the Gospel and Christ

Although I was never an atheist, I never really took the time or the effort to go to church regularly or even worship the Lord with my parents and siblings during those prayer meetings we had at our home. It was not that I did not want to pray, only that I had more important tasks to attend to. My dad would get mad at me and call me the black sheep of the family, but my mom never said a word against me. She was firm in the belief that I would come around someday and discover Jesus for myself, and that only when I took this major decision on my own would I truly appreciate and understand the gospel and Christ.

My teenage years rolled from high school into those I spent at college where classes, friends, social engagements and parties were my staple diet. There was no time for church or worship; until the day I was at the receiving end of a harsh emotional blow. My boyfriend of five years (we had both chosen to go to the same college in order to stay close to each other) found someone else to play around with, and stumbling into them by accident literally knocked me for a loop.

I was so stunned, my eyes were filled with tears, and I ran. I kept running till I ended up in a remote corner of campus where I spent the rest of the day, not even being aware of what I was doing and that it was getting dark and I was not safe being there alone at that time of the night. I made my way back to my dorm room and thanked my stars my roommate was away for a couple of days. I needed to wallow in my own sorrow alone and face it on my own without commiserations and pitying looks.

As I lay on my pillow, my cheeks touched the bible underneath – my mother made a habit of it ever since I had my own bed. I slowly flipped the pages, reading random scriptures and stories. A piece of paper slipped out, and on it were the few words that changed my life forever. Titled Footprints in the Sand, the anecdote spoke of a man walking along with Jesus through the path of his life. Christ is there with him through all the events of his life, and there are two sets of footprints to reflect this.

But, a closer look tells the man that there are only one set of footprints at certain points of his life, the points where he was at his lowest ebb and was very depressed. So he asks God why he felt it necessary to forsake him in his hour of need, and Jesus replies – Son, I did not forsake you. Those footprints you see are mine, not yours. You see, during your darkest hours, I carried you on my shoulders because you had no strength to walk on your own.

I cried when I read this, but the tears were cathartic because I knew that Jesus would see me through this pain and heartache no matter what. I also knew that I would hurt for a while, but with Christ on my side, I would survive and come out a winner. That was the day I discovered the power of the gospel and the strength of Jesus. I prayed regularly and made it a point to attend church on the Sabbath. And even though my life took a turn for the better, I never forgot the day I found Christ – it was the day I was born again.

Praying Your Loved Ones into the Kingdom of God...

A play by play blow by blow of an Excited Christian telling a loved one or friend about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Has this happened to you during your tenure as a Christian maybe the only Christian in your family or circle of friends?

Excited Christian
Hey (insert name) have you heard the good news?

Not so excited friend or loved one
No what news?

Excited Christian
Jesus died for your sins!

Not so excited friend or loved one
Ah that's great but we're not gonna talk about religion are we?

Jesus is the truth and the life man, he died so we could have life!

Not so excited friend or loved one
That's great (insert name) but I told you I don't want to talk about religion please stop I don't want to hear it.

If your a new or salty old Christian odds are you have been through this type of conversation before and it probably made you feel fearful of ever sharing your faith again maybe even almost ashamed. Well I have good news for those of you that would like to spread the good news to others all you really need is a technique. Sort of like before you could walk you had to crawl and before you could run you had to walk.

Learning how to spread the gospel is easy as 1, 2, 3 anyone can do it, you just need to know how. I use The Way of The Master in all my gospel sharing efforts because it leaves no wiggle room for the participants and even if they don't accept Christ right there on the spot, it plants a seed of faith for future harvest by either yourself or another. Now watch as the same Excited Christian uses The Way of The Master technique an ancient biblical technique that by-passes the intellect and reaches directly into the conscious of the participant this is similar to how Jesus did it.

Sure everyone has lied!

What do you call a person that lies?

I guess you would call them a liar!

How about number eight thou shall not steal, ever done that no matter how little the item?

Not so excited friend or loved one
Yep guilty as charged I have stolen before

I guess you would call them a thief

Here's the one that got me it's number seven thou shall not commit adultery Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that if we even look at a woman with lust we have already committed adultery with her in his heart, ever done that?

Yes I have but I had my fingers crossed the whole time!

So what would that make you if you have done that

Not so excited friend or loved one
I guess that would make me an adulterer

Excited Christian
So by your own admission you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart and that's only three out of ten, if God judged us on the ten commandments would you go to heaven or hell?

I guess when you say it like that I'd be going to hell

Does that concern you?

yes it does!
